A Time for Everything (20March2021)

1.5 months ago, I visited Lau Shui Heung流水響reservoir with great expectation of seeing picture perfect water reflection (aka sky mirror天空之鏡). Alas, I was disappointed – very crowded with people, few autumn leaves remaining and no reflection. Today, on my way to Sheung Shui for a drama, I made a detour to Lau Shui Heung with little expectation. This time, there is still no picture perfect reflection and some parts of the reservoir have even dried up (the mini bus driver joked ‘just like Hong Kong 沒水’). However, I was able to notice the beautiful white, purple and pink Bauhinia, listen to the chirping of birds and read in the nature. I even managed to buy some mulberry from a local farmer. On my way back, there was an accident which held up the traffic, an ambulance was tending to a cyclist who injured her head. Whilst I worried that I might be late for the drama, I was pretty calm, trusting all will be well and just enjoying the sweet mulberry. Thanks God, the traffic cleared up pretty fast and I prayed the girl recovered well.
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens (Ecclesiastes 3:1). Trust God to take care of things in His time, let’s be in the present moment and see the beauty around us. Nevertheless, we need to do our part – I was so absorbed reading and basking in nature’s splendor, I didn’t realize my watch has stopped. Luckily, I’ve set alarm to remind myself to set off for the drama 秀花鞋 which was one of the best I’ve ever watched.
